Seiko Calibre V195A Solar Quartz Chronograph Movement

The Seiko Calibre V195A is an analogue solar quartz chronograph movement featuring hour, minute, and small seconds hands, a date calendar, world-time functionality, an alarm display, and a power-reserve indicator.

Its integrated solar-generation system converts light into electrical energy and stores it in an MT920 rechargeable cell, providing approximately six months of operation from a full charge. The chronograph measures elapsed time in 1/5-second increments and supports accumulated elapsed-time and split-time measurement.

Additional functions include an energy-depletion warning, overcharge protection, stop-seconds operation, instant date correction, chronograph hand-position adjustment, and an electronic system-reset function. When the stored energy is running low, the small seconds hand advances in two-second intervals.
