Seiko Calibre 5M85A Kinetic GMT Quartz Movement

The Seiko Calibre 5M85A is an analogue Kinetic quartz movement featuring hour, minute, seconds, date, and an independently adjustable 24-hour GMT hand.

Seiko’s Kinetic system converts natural wrist movement into electrical energy through an automatic generating mechanism. The generated energy is stored in an MT920 rechargeable cell, providing approximately six months of operation when fully charged.

The independently adjustable local-hour hand allows the wearer to change time zones without disturbing the minute or 24-hour GMT hand. Additional functions include a power-reserve indicator, energy-depletion warning, overcharge prevention, and electronic circuit reset.
