Seiko Calibre V175A Solar Quartz Chronograph Movement

The Seiko V175A is an analogue solar quartz chronograph movement that converts light into electrical energy and stores it in a rechargeable battery. When fully charged, it can operate for approximately six months without further exposure to light.

The movement displays hours, minutes, small seconds, a 24-hour indicator, and the date. Its chronograph measures up to 60 minutes in precise 1/5-second increments and supports accumulated elapsed-time and split-time measurement.

An energy-depletion warning causes the small second hand to move at two-second intervals when the stored charge is low. The movement also features overcharge prevention, stop-second operation, quick date correction, electronic circuit reset, and chronograph-hand position adjustment.
